I am the Canada Research Chair in Migration, Race, and Identity and a tenured Associate Professor of Sociology at the University of Toronto (Mississauga and St. George campuses). I was born in the U.S. and now live in Canada with my spouse, Clayton Childress (also a sociologist!), and our young child. My CV is available here: PDF

Note: I am on fellowship and sabbatical leave from University of Toronto from July, 1 2021 until June 30, 2023 and will be prioritizing email related to those responsibilities. Thank you.
